Uggg, another school year. Probably another waste of my time. I have no money because of poor spending and the fact that my bf and I now both pay rent (his grandpa finally started making him pay lol). I'm just ready to get a job or become a housewife without kids lol |

http://community.livejournal.com/veganpeople/3035081.htmlI haven't posted a while, mainly because of nothing to say. But after watching many commercials for that 30 days episode that is about to air, I decided to google to see if I could find anything more about this. I came across this in veganpeople that was so stupid. First this person is talking about how much they hate PeTA and confusing vegans with PeTA and then they talk about how brilliant it would be to put him with hunt sabbers, as they called them. I get really annoyed when people think it is cool to violate other people's rights (namely the ones regarding property). They are lucky they don't accidentally get shot when they are out effing up hunts, not that I condone that. When their car hits a deer because of overpopulation (I don't know about other regions but Southern Ohio has a HUGE deer overpopulation problem), I'm sure they'll be laughing at it. |

http://tv.yahoo.com/slideshow/255/photos/1I literally said OH MY GOD outloud when I saw this photo. I guess skin and bones is back in again...what's sad is I bet throughout the show (I haven't watched this season) they've probably been making a big deal about the "excess" weight of the one on the left... |

http://www.firstthings.com/onthesquare/?p=776I really liked this blog. I would really like to read this Dawkins book because I find it truly sad that because he is atheist, the entire world has become not mysterious to him and that evolution ultimately takes the place of wonder. I may be wrong because I haven't read the book, which is why I want to read it. These two quotes are very sad: 1) "He writes in The God Delusion: “Darwin and his successors have shown how living creatures, with their spectacular statistical improbability and appearance of design.." And (this one which I find really sad that he judges this person so much, even though I agree it may not be the rational thing to do): 2) "I find that terribly sad . . . the Kurt Wise story is just plain pathetic—pathetic and contemptible. The wound, to his career and his life’s happiness, was self-inflicted, so unnecessary, so easy to escape. . . . I am hostile to religion because of what it did to Kurt Wise. And if it did that to a Harvard educated geologist, just think what it can do to others less gifted and less well armed.” I love his angst against religion (and all spirituality) just because he fails to see the mystery in some things. Science doesn't solve everything and even if I didn't believe in a creator, I would still find wonder in everything. This guy sucks the joy and sense of magic out of life. Also, even though the author may be crazy himself, he makes a good point about how if we all do not have a purpose, then why does Dawkins find it so incredibly terrible that this person thrusted away their life in science (I don't see how anyone can take the bible literally since not everything in the bible is truly literal even if you believe in the bible)? It's not a wasted life since all life really has no intended purpose and we make our own design. To use Dawkins words, I find this utterly sad. I listened to him on Alan Colmes show...wow, this guy makes me want to cry. His smug attitude about the world makes me sick. I also like how he says teaching faith is wrong because it teaches children that they don't have to support their beliefs with facts. Not all faith is wrong such as having faith in people. Even if you don't believe in faith religiously, I think having some sort of faith is necessary. If I gave up on my faith (such as gave up believing that people can be good and that war can stop), I would end up dying a sad, lonely person. What kind of life is that? I seriously need to read this book. |

Let's start fires because we're environmentalists http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080303/ap_on_re_us/luxury_homes_fireI hope these "environmentalists" fucking die horrible deaths. How the fuck can you justify burning someone's home down? After having a friend die in a fire PLUS having my parents lose a lot in a fire, I don't see any benefit to doing this. What if someone was in there and they didn't know about it? Fucking idiots. Not only that, but it's not going to help the environment because they will just rebuild and then require MORE resources to do so. FUCKING IDIOTS. If I could find these ELF assholes, I would set their houses on fire. I'm sure they are all living in nice houses somewhere and learning how to use toxic chemicals to start fires. MORONS. |
